Step into a dynamic school-based setting near Joliet, IL, where your expertise as a Physical Therapist will help empower students to reach their fullest potential. This contract opportunity spans several schools, with a primary focus on fostering physical independence for students across a variety of educational programs. Providing both direct interventions and consultative support, you’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—and serve a diverse caseload of elementary through transition-aged students.

Your daily schedule will adapt to each school’s individual hours, offering a degree of flexibility while maintaining a consistent Monday through Friday routine. Both full-time and part-time applicants are encouraged to express interest, making this role accessible for a range of career needs.

What you’ll bring:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (MPT/DPT)
• Active Illinois Physical Therapy License
• Experience providing PT in school settings ideal
• Comfort with travel between multiple campuses
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to build productive relationships with students and educational staff

Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing student needs through thorough evaluations
• Designing and implementing individualized therapy plans within both general education and self-contained classrooms
• Training and assisting with mobility/positioning equipment
• Writing daily therapy notes, progress reports, and goal updates
• Collaborating with teachers, therapists, nurses, and paraprofessionals to enhance student outcomes

Your impact will be widely felt throughout multiple Valley View schools, as you help shape positive, inclusive learning environments. You’ll work with a diverse caseload of 35–45 students, tailoring support to promote each child’s physical growth and participation.
