Business Development Manager - Government IT Sales

We are seeking a motivated and results‑driven Business Development Manager – Government IT Sales to lead our efforts in securing and expanding government contracts for IT solutions and services. This role is ideal for a sales professional with a strong understanding of the public sector procurement process and a proven ability to build relationships within federal, state, and local government agencies. Key Responsibilities Identify, qualify, and pursue new IT contract opportunities within government agencies. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers, procurement officers, and IT managers across public sector organizations. Respond to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs in coordination with technical and proposal teams. Stay informed of government contracting regulations, procurement schedules, and industry trends. Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, legal, compliance) to ensure proposals and bids meet customer and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and opportunities in the CRM system. Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets related to government contracts. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in B2G (Business‑to‑Government) sales, preferably in the IT industry. Strong knowledge of the government procurement process, including GSA schedules and other contracting vehicles. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and manage complex sales cycles. Experience with CRM software and proposal management tools is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field preferred. Previous experience with 8(A) certified companies would be a plus. Preferred Existing network of government contacts or prior experience working with federal or state agencies. Familiarity with compliance requirements such as NIST, FedRAMP, or CMMC. #J-18808-Ljbffr
