Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Remote Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments and collaborative discussions with clients, ensuring alignment with their goals and needs.
• Conduct outpatient psychotherapy sessions, providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Prepare and maintain detailed clinical documentation, including intake summaries and treatment plans, adhering to state regulations and the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) standards.
• Participate actively in case conferences and treatment evaluations with interdisciplinary teams, which may include medical, psychiatric, and allied health professionals.
• Facilitate the utilization of community resources and support services to enhance treatment outcomes for clients.
• Provide crisis intervention and support amongst clients, ensuring their safety and appropriate referral to further care when necessary.
• Supervise and mentor Post Masters Fellows and Associate Counselors where applicable, fostering an environment of growth and learning.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse patient population, encompassing both adults and children, dealing with a range of mental health conditions, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Your role will involve not only addressing clinical symptoms but also considering socio-economic factors that may affect each patient's overall well-being. You will provide family-focused interventions as required, enhancing treatment efficacy and reinforcing support systems.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an innate ability to connect with clients and facilitate trust.
• Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to apply ethical practices in clinical decision-making.
• Proficiency in documenting clinical interactions efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a clinical setting, particularly in community mental health or similar environments.
• Experience with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural sensitivity in therapeutic practices.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and tools used for remote therapy delivery.
• Previous involvement with treatment planning and case management in a team-based approach.

Compensation and Benefits

Empathy Matters Healthcare Services, Inc. offers competitive compensation with a yearly salary range of $120,000 to $130,000 based on your experience and caseload.
