Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments to accurately identify the needs and treatment goals of individuals entering our substance use treatment program.

• Create tailored treatment plans that integrate evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing techniques.

• Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions, utilizing approaches that foster client engagement and encourage self-reflection and behavior change.

• Lead and facilitate supportive group therapy sessions designed to build community among clients and enhance their recovery process.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and addiction specialists to ensure a coordinated and integrated approach to patient care.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support as necessary, especially during substance-related emergencies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals struggling with substance use disorders, ranging from those seeking recovery for the first time to those who have relapsed. You will work with clients from diverse backgrounds, representing various age groups and cultural experiences. This diversity adds depth to your work and enriches the therapeutic environment, requiring adaptability and cultural sensitivity when building rapport and understanding each client’s unique situation.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or doctorate in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, or LCMFT in the state of Maryland.

• Strong understanding of substance use disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated experience in providing therapy within addiction treatment contexts, both individually and in group settings.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, paired with a genuine ability to empathize with clients.

• High ethical standards and an ability to maintain professional boundaries and patient confidentiality.

• Proficient with electronic health record systems and other relevant technology that supports efficient clinical practice.

Preferred Experience\n

Preferred candidates will have at least two years of direct experience working with substance use disorder patients, specializing in both individual and group therapy settings. An established track record of employing evidence-based approaches tailored to the unique needs of clients in a therapeutic setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between USD 80,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to the competitive base salary, a sign-on bonus is available to successful candidates.
