Work Environment

As a full-time physical therapist with Fun and Moving Physical Therapy, Inc., your work environment will primarily be our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in South River. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or illnesses, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to alleviate pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress, documenting treatment protocols and outcomes using electronic medical records to ensure effective continuity of care.
• Reassess patients regularly, adjusting treatment plans based on their progress toward established therapeutic goals, ensuring a dynamic and responsive rehabilitation process.
• Provide education and training to patients, their families, and caregivers on proper exercise techniques, use of assistive devices, and home care strategies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, conferences, and peer networking to stay updated with the latest practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In our practice, you will encounter a diverse patient population, spanning children to elderly individuals, each requiring tailored physical therapy services for various orthopedic conditions. Our clients may present with sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation needs, or age-related orthopedic challenges, creating a fulfilling and varied caseload that enhances your clinical expertise.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• A current state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
• Ability to adapt and respond to the needs of a dynamic patient population with a patient-first approach.
• Prior experience in orthopedic physical therapy is preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation center or outpatient physical therapy setting.
• Familiarity with orthopedic assessment techniques and treatment modalities.
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
