Growing togetherThe Dental Network Contractor develops the provider network yielding a geographically competitive, broad access, stable network that achieves objectives for unit cost performance and trend management, and produces an affordable and predictable product for customers and business partners. Dental Network Contractors evaluate and negotiate contracts in compliance with company contract templates, reimbursement structure standards, and other key process controls. Responsibilities also include establishing and maintaining solid business relationships with the providers in the network and ensuring the network composition includes an appropriate distribution of provider specialties.If you are located in EST time zone - New England, Mid-Atlantic and/ir SE Region of the US, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Negotiate contracts and recruit dental providers to multiple UHC Dental NetworksWork to achieve industry discounts with onboarding of new providersUse pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a range of problems within area of expertiseInvestigate non-standard requests and problems, with some assistance from othersWork exclusively within a specific knowledge areaPrioritize and organize own work to meet deadlinesProvide explanations and information to others on topics within area of expertiseHave reliable transportationYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:1+ years of experience in a network management-related role, such as contracting or provider services1+ years of experience in performing network adequacy analysisIntermediate level of knowledge of claims processing systems and guidelinesProficient utilizing MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)Willing and able to travel 30% of the timeDriver's License and access to a reliable transportationPreferred Qualifications:Experience using financial models and analysis to negotiate rates with providersKnowledge of Medicare and Commercial PlansProven excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret complex information form othersProven excellent interpersonal skills, establishing rapport and working well with othersProven excellent customer service skillsProven ability to work in high stress, high goal orientated environment*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment.
