Senior Account Executive – Energy Efficiency Solutions Industry: Clean Energy | Energy Efficiency | Sustainability Compensation: Competitive Base Salary + Uncapped Commission + Benefits Drive the Future of Energy Efficiency Our client is a rapidly growing leader in energy efficiency and sustainability solutions, helping commercial, industrial, institutional, and public sector organizations reduce energy consumption, lower operating costs, and achieve ambitious ESG and decarbonization goals. We are seeking a consultative, result driven senior Account Executive to lead new business development efforts across the New York market. This is a high impact role for a sales professional who thrives on building executive level relationships, identifying complex energy challenges, and delivering innovative solutions that create measurable financial and environmental value. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sales plans to generate new business opportunities throughout the New York region. Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with C-suite executives, facility leaders, energy managers, and sustainability stakeholders. Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution. Consult with customers to understand operational, financial, and sustainability objectives. Collaborate with engineering, project development, and technical teams to design customized energy efficiency solutions. Present compelling business cases that demonstrate ROI, energy savings, operational improvements, and carbon reduction benefits. Maintain a robust sales pipeline and accurately forecast revenue opportunities. Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking functions. Stay informed on market trends, utility incentive programs, energy regulations, and emerging technologies. Ideal Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Sustainability, Energy Management, or related field preferred. 5+ years of successful B2B solution sales experience. Proven experience selling energy efficiency, energy services, building technologies, HVAC optimization, smart building solutions, distributed energy resources, or related clean energy solutions. Strong track record of exceeding revenue targets and developing new client relationships. Experience navigating complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders. Excellent presentation, negotiation, and executive communication skills. Familiarity with performance contracting, utility incentive programs, decarbonization initiatives, or energy management solutions is highly desirable.
