Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to thoroughly evaluate the complexity and intensity of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Collaboratively develop individualized treatment plans, incorporating clients’ preferences and distinct needs for more personalized care.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the clients’ conditions.

• Provide thorough education and support to clients and their families about mood disorders, effective coping strategies, and available treatment options.
\n
• Monitor and document clients’ progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as sufficient to ensure effective outcomes.

• Partner with psychiatrists and medical professionals to deliver integrated and holistic care for clients.
\n
• Review literature and emerging research in mental health to remain informed about innovations in mood disorder treatments.
\n
• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation regarding assessments and treatment plans that comply with ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in case consultations, workshops, and training to sharpen your clinical skills.

• Advocate for clients to destigmatize mental health issues and address their holistic needs through community engagement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety-related disorders, and bipolar disorder. Our clients come from various socio-economic backgrounds and often face complex life situations that affect their mental health. You will be instrumental in helping them navigate their challenges and drive positive change in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
\n
• A minimum of three years of direct clinical experience in a mental health setting is required.
\n
• A strong foundation in evidence-based therapies, particularly CBT and DBT, with demonstrable success in treating mood disorders.

• Proficient understanding of psychopharmacology and experience in working alongside psychiatrists to enhance treatment efficacy.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building rapport with diverse client backgrounds.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorders is preferred.
