Key Responsibilities

• Assess and document each patient's individual objectives and treatment requirements to provide personalized care.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring focused and quality care during each session.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic outpatient settings to develop and deliver effective treatment plans.
• Administer therapeutic interventions that aim to improve patients' mobility, strength, and overall functional ability.
• Promote non-invasive treatment protocols, minimizing the reliance on medication and suggesting alternatives where possible.
• Stay updated with best practices and continually evaluate and adjust treatment approaches to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Encourage, motivate, and educate patients on their rehabilitation journey, focusing on promoting a healthier lifestyle.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and administrative staff, to enhance care quality.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes accurately, utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software such as WebPT.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role, you will work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain. Your ability to customize treatment plans that cater to specific diagnoses and rehabilitation goals is essential for fostering patient recovery. Additionally, you will help patients from various backgrounds and age groups, adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of each individual while building rapport and trust.

Qualifications

• Degree: A Master's (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Licensing: Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida, with no board or disciplinary actions on record.
• Skills: Proficiency in manual therapy techniques, and experience in designing and implementing exercise programs tailored to the patient's needs.
• Technology: Familiarity with EMR Software, particularly WebPT, is preferable for efficient patient documentation.
