Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Broward Physical Therapy, your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and enhancing the overall functionality of patients.
• Overseeing the activities of physical therapy assistants to ensure proper execution of treatment protocols.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities through various diagnostic assessments to establish baselines and monitor progress.
• Assisting patients with therapeutic exercises, including manual techniques as well as instruction in non-manual activities to foster independence.
• Utilizing advanced rehabilitation modalities, such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, when applicable, to enhance treatment effectiveness.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to assess patient progress during case conferences, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as required.
• Maintaining meticulous clinical documentation, including patient evaluations, treatment progress notes, and discharge summaries to ensure continuity of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding physical therapy interventions and self-management of conditions.
• Conducting functional assessments within the rehabilitation facility to determine the necessity of assistive devices and recommending modifications as needed.
