About the Role An immigration-focused legal practice is seeking an Associate Attorney with at least two years of immigration law experience to join its New York City office. The role involves managing client matters, preparing USCIS applications, handling court appearances, and advising clients on immigration and related legal issues. Responsibilities Handle court appearances involving immigration and related legal matters. Prepare and file USCIS petitions, applications, and supporting documentation. Meet with clients to evaluate legal issues and discuss case strategies. Manage cases from initial consultation through final resolution. Explain legal rights, available options, and potential outcomes to clients. Draft correspondence and legal documents related to immigration matters. Maintain organized case files and ensure timely completion of filings. Communicate with government agencies, courts, and clients regarding case progress. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of immigration law experience. Admission to the New York Bar. Admission to the New Jersey Bar or eligibility for admission is acceptable. Required Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent legal research and legal writing abilities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple matters independently while working collaboratively with colleagues. Preferred Skills Fluency in Spanish.
