Work Environment

Our rehabilitation center provides a supportive and collaborative work atmosphere where physical therapists work closely with an interdisciplinary team. The full-time role typically involves a weekly schedule of 40 hours, with variable weekends as necessary to accommodate patient care and clinic demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients to assess their physical condition, capabilities, and limitations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals, resulting in actionable steps to enhance their physical function.
• Provide expert consultation to other healthcare providers, ensuring seamless patient care during transitions and ongoing treatment.
• Execute treatment interventions, re-evaluating patient progress regularly and modifying plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
• Document all patient interactions, evaluations, treatment protocols, and discharge summaries accurately in compliance with organizational and governmental regulations.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians and support staff, to ensure coordinated care for each patient.
• Participate in community outreach, marketing efforts, and quality improvement initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinic visibility.
• Mentor and supervise physical therapy assistants (PTA) and support staff, fostering a learning environment and enhancing team competency.
• Attend continuing education workshops and in-service programs to maintain licensure requirements and stay current with best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The physical therapist will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, chronic pain issues, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Emphasizing patient-centered care, you will engage actively with clients, encouraging their involvement in the rehabilitation process and educating them on self-management techniques to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and word processing software.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in rehabilitation or orthopedic settings is advantageous.
• Skills in patient education and motivation to enhance adherence to treatment plans.

Compensation and Benefits
