Sous Chef

About Us We are a growing luxury hospitality group and take pride in serving guests through Sails Restaurant, Butcher Private, Omasava, The Cellar, and our upcoming concept, Sava. We are seeking culinary staff at all levels to elevate us to a Michelin-star level. Key Responsibilities Executing all stations in the kitchen seamlessly during service, as well as preparing sauces and proteins Checking the quality of raw and cooked food products daily to ensure that the highest standards are met Determining production schedules and staffing requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of services and optimal labour cost Ordering and receiving produce and kitchen items Receiving and checking quantity and quality of all received products, including dry goods, setting accurate par levels for and adjusting based on levels of business Taking daily, weekly and monthly inventories Training new employees Assisting in hiring, interviewing, supervising and coordinating the activities of cooks or other workers engaged in food preparation Uniform checks, writing opening and closing reports and documenting any violations of the company’s standard operating procedures Monitoring sanitation and food safety practices to ensure that all employees follow the company standards and government regulations What We Are Looking For A passion for the art of cooking and team spirit At least 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a fine-dining environment A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering excellence Positive attitude and high energy Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Culinary school certification would be advantageous, but not required What We Offer
