Office Manager / Creative Admin

San Diego Hand Specialists is a practice of 4 surgeons specializing in hand and upper extremity care, supported by a team of about 20 employees. We are looking for an Office Manager who will lead our staff and share our passion for providing excellent patient care. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Diego, CA. The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing daily office operations and ensuring smooth workflows — including scheduling, patient intake and check-out, revenue cycle management, medical records coordination, and office supply and equipment maintenance. The Office Manager supervises and supports staff, monitors workload, and helps develop and implement office policies and procedures. The role requires consistent collaboration, problem-solving, and attention to detail. We're looking for an experienced professional who can: Oversee the daily operations of the clinic Ensure adequate staff coverage Manage office and physician credentialing and contracting Handle HR duties, including hiring, onboarding, staff performance evaluations, coaching, compensation oversight, disciplinary action, termination, and resolving employee conflicts Approve time-off requests and process payroll Respond to patient complaints Facilitate weekly meetings with doctors and staff Oversee ordering of medical and office supplies Ensure employees adhere to company policies, procedures, and HIPAA compliance Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Master's degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent relevant experience preferred At least 3 years of experience as an Office Manager preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, and general office equipment Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, clinical staff, and external partners Strong office administration skills, with the ability to manage scheduling, records, and daily office workflows Experience in a healthcare or medical office setting, including familiarity with HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements Demonstrated ability to lead and support staff, prioritize tasks, and resolve issues in a fast‑paced environment 401(k) Medical insurance Paid time off Sick leave Paid holidays Paid parking Schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Requirements for Employment Background check Verification of diplomas 2 professional references Compensation: Hourly, $35-38 per hour based on experience level #J-18808-Ljbffr
