Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history
• Plan and provide nursing care for psychiatric patients; develop and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team
• Administer and monitor psychotropic medications; document responses and adverse reactions
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and behavioral health staff to design appropriate treatment plans
• Monitor patient safety and maintain a secure environment for staff and patients
• Document all patient information in medical records; follow physician orders and maintain patient confidentiality; complete progress notes and charting

Requirements

• Active New York RN license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Telemetry experience
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Ability to work in a hospital setting with rotating day/evening/night shifts
