Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to understand clients’ emotional, behavioral, and psychological conditions.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that cater to the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, integrating evidence-based practices and innovative therapeutic techniques.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities to enhance participants' understanding and coping strategies.

• Monitor clients' progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to facilitate comprehensive care.

• Provide ongoing support and resources for clients' family members and primary caregivers to help them manage associated challenges effectively.

• Conduct follow-ups with clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring seamless communication with attending physicians.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working with a diverse population, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relational issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A valid and current licensure in Maryland as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C is essential.

• A successful examination score in the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Exam (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated proficiency with electronic health record systems.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, alongside exceptional interpersonal abilities that facilitate rapport building with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience as a mental health counselor is preferred, particularly in outpatient settings.

• Knowledge of the best practices endorsed by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
