Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, ensuring documentation from the initial consultation through to discharge or end of treatment.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that address the mental, behavioral, and emotional needs of clients.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing various evidence-based therapeutic techniques to engage clients effectively.

• Monitor and assess client progress regularly, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to ensure coordinated care and referral management.

• Provide follow-up support for clients requiring hospitalization, assisting with communication and continuity of care during their recovery.

• Help identify barriers to recovery and develop strategies to prevent regressive behaviors that may hinder client progress.

• Support family members and primary caregivers by providing resources and guidance on managing mental health challenges within the home.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• Successful completion of national examinations, such as the NCE and/or NCMHCE.
\n
• Strong understanding of the principles of mental health counseling and psychotherapy.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills, essential for engaging clients and collaborating with colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior hands-on experience as a mental health counselor in an outpatient or clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
