Nutrition Services Tech - Full Time - Days

Job Summary Location: Methodist Women’s Hospital, 707 N 190th Plaza – Elkhorn, NE Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5:30am to 2:00pm Responsibilities Prepare assigned work area by conducting pre‑service quality checks on temperatures, food quality, and cleanliness of the assembly area to ensure readiness for meal service. Maintain adequate levels of food and supplies by ensuring par levels in the food service area are met and maintained. Serve and prepare food for patients, visitors, and staff by following room service order requests and customer requests to ensure accurate and correct meals are delivered within established timeframes. Follow proper food handling procedures and comply with quality performance standards to maintain a safe and sanitary environment. Operate food service equipment according to manufacturer and department procedures to ensure proper operation and maintenance. Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans following department policies and procedures to ensure all equipment is clean and sanitized. Store clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in proper areas in accordance with departmental policies and procedures to ensure a safe, clean, sanitary, and organized environment. Requirements Education: High school diploma; GED preferred. Experience: 6 months food service experience preferred, preferably in a hospitality industry including culinary, with a strong emphasis on customer service. License/Certifications: Food Handler’s Certificate or ServSafe certification preferred. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Knowledge of food production and delivery process preferred; knowledge of computers preferred; strong verbal communication skills for positive interaction with staff and customers required; able to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions accurately and efficiently required. Physical Requirements Weight Demands: Light work – up to 20 pounds of force exerted. Occasionally (34‑66%): physical hazards such as noise, temperature, lighting, wet floors, outdoors, sharps. Frequently (67‑100%): equipment/machinery/tools; mechanical moving parts/vibrations; electrical shock/static; radiation (alpha, beta, gamma, non‑ionizing).
