Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Supervisor for Manufacturing Operations to lead first-shift cGMP drug product manufacturing activities in Boston. The role involves supervising personnel, overseeing equipment operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining documentation standards in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily manufacturing operations and assign work based on production schedules
- Oversee cGMP activities including equipment setup, operation, disassembly, and cleaning
- Execute batch record instructions and perform real-time documentation reviews during operations
- Monitor GMP compliance across personnel and facility; maintain audit-ready state
- Interface with cross-functional teams and QA to support facility operations and manufacturing objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in scientific, technical, or engineering discipline
- 6+ years of experience in manufacturing or equivalent education/experience combination
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
- Strong understanding of cGMP frameworks in pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Solid grasp of relevant SOPs and drug development activities
- Ability to work in cleanroom environment with compressed gases and liquid nitrogen
Compensation: $97,900 - $146,900 base
