Details Float pool position covering 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow Care for ED border patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented, transfer-ready ICU patients Clinician to patient ratios up to 5:1 on days/evenings and up to 6:1 on nights Units range from 8 to 41 beds within a 371-bed hospital 36 hours per week, night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every other weekend required Rotation to days/evenings required, with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract Uses Epic EMR Performs telemetry monitoring including interval measurement and strip interpretation every 4 hours Utilizes TR Band and performs cardiac drip management Requirements Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted) AHA BLS certification required 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required 2 years of experience working as a Traveler required Telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, and tele strip reading skills required TR Band experience required Epic EMR experience required Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed Additional Information Float pool role requiring flexibility to work across multiple hospital units Free on-site parking available Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility in Boston, with a reduced rate applying to local candidates No pending or conditional MA licenses accepted at any point during assignment American Traveler Job ID P-747935.
