Our skilled team consists of two experienced physical therapists and a dedicated physical therapy assistant who work collaboratively to provide evidence-based care and support.

Work Environment

The Physical Therapist position is a full-time, on-site role situated within a dynamic rehabilitation center. Operating from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, our center fosters a collegial environment where team members share knowledge, methods, and resources to enhance patient treatment outcomes. You will engage directly with patients in a comfortable and well-equipped facility dedicated to orthopedic rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patient conditions, identifying specific needs and establishing definitive treatment goals.
• Manage a patient load designed to facilitate one-on-one care, ensuring personalized attention and effective treatment delivery.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapy techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises tailored to patient capabilities.
• Focus on non-surgical treatment approaches to improve patient mobility while minimizing medication reliance, encouraging healthier lifestyle choices.
• Maintain open lines of communication with patients, modifying care plans based on their progress and feedback throughout the treatment process.
• Document all services provided and monitor treatment efficacy through regular evaluations and reporting.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, lending your expertise to multidisciplinary approaches for complex patient cases.
• Promote preventative health strategies and educate patients on exercises and lifestyle adaptations that promote strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves individuals with private medical insurance, ranging from athletes rehabbing from sports injuries to aging adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries. Your role will directly impact their rehabilitation journey as you offer tailored assessments and therapeutic interventions in a supportive environment, aiming always to maximize their functional potential.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• Clean license with no board actions or disciplinary issues.
• Proficient manual therapy skills and knowledge of orthopedic assessment techniques.
• Experience in developing personalized exercise programs that align closely with patient recovery goals.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, for efficient patient management and documentation.

Preferred Experience

While not essential, we prefer candidates with prior experience in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy settings. Proven success in designing and implementing functional rehabilitation programs will be highly advantageous, as will any additional certifications relevant to orthopedic care.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
