Clarity Wellness PA is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to provide exemplary medical care within our Surgical Center in New York City. In this full-time, onsite role, you will assess, diagnose, plan, and implement comprehensive medical care for a diverse patient population, working closely with supervising physicians. This position requires accountability for a full spectrum of care, including direct patient interaction, education for patients and their families, and effective transitions of care. Utilizing your clinical expertise, you will perform therapeutic procedures, assist in various surgical operations, conduct patient rounds, and incorporate a multidisciplinary approach to ensure continuity of care throughout the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and review the medical history of patients to identify health issues.
• Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies, to inform diagnoses.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of health conditions and illnesses in line with the standards of family medicine.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients facing chronic and infectious diseases.
• Prescribe medication and monitor patient responses to various treatment regimes, making adjustments where necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records, schedules, and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care measures.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices and preventive care initiatives to improve patient health and outcomes.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient care strategies, outcomes, and ongoing education efforts.
• Stay updated with advancements in primary care, continually enhancing personal knowledge and clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant at Clarity Wellness PA, you will serve a diverse patient population encompassing individuals at various life stages. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
• Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a family health clinic or surgical setting.
• Strong clinical skills with a proven ability to handle diverse patient needs and health conditions.
• Extensive knowledge of primary care regulations and best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient and team interactions.
• A commitment to ethical practices and patient-centered care.
• Team-oriented attitude with a strong desire to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Active DEA number is required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in surgical assisting and preoperative/postoperative patient care.
• Specialization or advanced training in family medicine.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a high-volume setting while maintaining accuracy and quality of care.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically for patient documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to 160,000, commensurate with experience, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, professional development opportunities, and paid time off to support work-life balance.
