Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Sous Chef to support the daily culinary operations within our premium airport lounge. This role is responsible for assisting in the preparation of fresh, high-quality food on-site while ensuring consistency, efficiency, and compliance with brand and food safety standards. The Sous Chef will play a key role in supporting the Chef, while also coaching and guiding team members, including those without formal kitchen experience, to deliver a consistent and elevated guest experience. The expected pay rate is $75,000.00/yr. Key Responsibilities Support the Chef in the day-to-day kitchen operations, including prep, service, and closing Prepare and present high-quality food in accordance with company standards and menus Ensure consistent execution of composed dishes Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards Assist in inventory management, ordering, and cost control initiatives Train, coach, and support lounge team members, including non-culinary staff, to ensure proper food handling and execution Provide clear guidance and simplified processes to support team members with varying levels of experience Step in to lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Chef Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery What We're Looking For Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Line Cook in a high-volume environment (airport lounge, hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or airport experience preferred) Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards Demonstrated ability to train and mentor team members, including those without prior kitchen experience Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and consistency Strong communication and teamwork skills Schedule Requirements Flexible availability required (including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays) What We Offer 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance At Swissport, we believe in diversity, equal opportunity, and the power of our values to drive our success.
