Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and implement tailored physical therapy treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain, enhancing mobility, and restoring function.
• Oversee and guide physical therapy assistants, ensuring adherence to treatment plans and optimizing patient care.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional levels using advanced diagnostic techniques, allowing for ongoing assessment and adjustment of therapeutic interventions.
• Assess home environments to recommend modifications that promote client rehabilitation and independence.
• Deliver physical therapy services prescribed by referring physicians, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities including manual therapy techniques, exercise prescription, and modalities like traction and massage.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical documentation including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to provide updates and collaborate on comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate clients and their families on physical therapy methods and assistive devices, empowering them to take an active role in their rehabilitation.
• Stay connected with physical therapy assistants during treatment sessions to provide immediate guidance and input.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned to enhance the clinic's operational effectiveness and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Head Hunters Chiropractic Clinic, you will work primarily with individuals requiring rehabilitative care in their homes. This includes patients recovering from surgeries, those with chronic pain or disabilities, and elderly clients needing assistance with mobility. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited physical therapy program (a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred).
• Current, valid physical therapy licensure in the state of New York.
• Certification in CPR and first aid, with a commitment to keeping credentials current.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience as a physical therapist in an acute care or home care setting.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, reflective of experience and specialty.
