Work Environment

You will work onsite at our comprehensive rehabilitation center, collaborating closely with a dedicated team of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). The facility's design accommodates an extensive range of rehabilitation activities, ensuring that our patients receive effective and compassionate care in a supportive setting. Our work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, fostering a balanced professional environment where you can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient assessments to identify functional limitations and develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, applying evidence-based treatments and interventions that promote mobility and foster improved quality of life.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques incorporating manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities, to support rehabilitation goals.
• Document all patient interactions, progress, and responses to treatment thoroughly while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Implement fitness and wellness programs that are customized for each patient, encouraging ongoing engagement in their rehabilitation journey.
• Communicate effectively with patients, motivating them throughout their treatments and addressing any concerns to optimize their progress.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
• Continuously assess treatment effects, adapt approaches as necessary, and maintain clear and open lines of communication with patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily comprises individuals recovering from orthopedic-related injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a key role in transforming their rehabilitation journeys, focusing on enhancing their functional capabilities through personalized care. You will leverage your knowledge of therapeutic techniques to provide alternative treatments that reduce reliance on medication and surgical interventions.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this role.
• Active certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of New York.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions or board violations.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities.
• Experience in developing and conducting customized exercise regimens.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, specifically proficiency in platforms such as WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Skills in patient education and engagement strategies to enhance their rehabilitation experience.

Compensation and Benefits
