McGill Environmental Systems is hiring a Weighmaster / Administrative Assistant to support our daily operations. This position plays a critical role in managing scale house activities, processing documentation, supportingaccounts payable functions, and ensuring accurate recordkeeping for inbound and outbound materials. You'll ensure trucks are weighed accurately, shipping documentation is completed correctly, data is entered accurately, and administrative processes run smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable multitasking, and enjoys working with both people and data. What You'll Do Operate the industrial scale and weigh inbound and outbound commercial trucks Prepare and process Bills of Lading and other shipping documents Enter data into company systems accurately and efficiently Assist with invoice preparation and accounts payable processing Generate daily, bi-monthly, and monthly reports and spreadsheets Answer phones and assist drivers, vendors, and visitors Operate standard office equipment including computers, printers, copiers, calculators, and phone systems Maintain organized records and documentation Support office operations and administrative functions as assigned Why Join McGill? Qualifications Associate degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and related experience Previous experience in a scale house, weighmaster, logistics, transportation, office administration, or similar role preferred Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Excellent communication and customer service skills Basic knowledge of accounts payable processes preferred Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods performing administrative work Ability to stand for extended periods while operating the scale Frequent use of computers, office equipment, and calculators Ability to move between office and scale house locations as needed Ability to occasionally lift and move items up to 25 pounds Ability to read computer screens, printed documents, and scale displays for extended periods Work Environment Work is performed in both office and outdoor operational environments. Employees may occasionally be exposed to: Truck traffic and heavy equipment Dust, dirt, mud, and outdoor conditions Noise from industrial operations Uneven walking surfaces Varying weather conditions Appropriate PPE will be provided and must be worn when required.
