Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will be entrusted with the following key responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients to identify functional limitations and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Provide ongoing consultation to healthcare providers regarding patient care trajectories, ensuring a collaborative approach to treatment.
• Maintain compliance with customer service standards by demonstrating respectful interactions with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
• Implement treatment plans based on clinical evaluations, regularly re-evaluating patient progress and making necessary adjustments to treatments and discharge plans.
• Document all evaluations, treatment notes, and communication in alignment with regulatory standards and organizational protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary treatment team and physicians to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Engage in community outreach and leadership initiatives, contributing to program development and quality improvement processes.
• Supervise and provide guidance to assigned support staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities through workshops, in-services, and continuing education programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be actively involved in the rehabilitation of diverse patient populations, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological impairments, and sports-related injuries. You will work closely with patients from various cultural backgrounds, tailoring treatment approaches to meet their unique needs and preferences. Collaboration with families and caregivers is critical to ensure comprehensive care and effective discharge planning.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• State License to practice Physical Therapy in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as proficiency in word processing and documentation software.
• Ability to meet productivity standards while providing high-quality patient care.

Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates with prior experience in a rehabilitation setting, familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, and experience working in a collaborative team environment will be preferred. Additional certifications in specialized therapy areas may also be advantageous.
