The Radiation Oncology Service is accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting body and operates state-of-the-art equipment including Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators, RayStation treatment planning, and ARIA record & verify systems.ResponsibilitiesServe as Chief Physicist overseeing all medical physics and dosimetry aspects of the Radiation Oncology Physics programDesign, optimize, and technically evaluate radiation treatment plansEnsure precise and accurate radiation dose deliveryManage radiation protection of patients and staffOversee quality assurance programs including daily, monthly, and annual QA proceduresProvide expert consultation to Radiation Oncologists and direction to technical staffSupervise complicated simulations and treatment setupsHandle administrative duties including strategic planning and equipment requestsPerform acceptance testing and commissioning of linear acceleratorsSupport accreditation and compliance with ACR, ASTRO, and AAPM standardsQualificationsPh.D. in Medical Physics or related fieldBoard Certified by ABR, ABMP, or CCPM in Therapeutic Medical PhysicsMinimum 5 years post-board certification experienceAt least 3 years continuous experience within the last 5 years5 years performing QA procedures3 years experience with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators (TG-142)3 years experience with IGRT including Cone Beam CT3 years experience with RayStation TPS and ARIA R&V (2D/3D Conformal, SRS, SRT, SBRT, IMRT/VMAT)3 years IMRT QA experience (MapCheck I/II or equivalent)3 years CT Simulator experience (TG-66)Experience with superficial X-ray machinesAcceptance testing and commissioning experienceScheduleFull-time, Monday – FridayRegular hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PMSome after-hours work for calibrations and measurementsMust be on-site during clinical hours at least 50% of the timeFederal holidays offKurzSolutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
