Cold Email Outreach Specialist - Outbound Lead Generation & Deliverability

About the Role

At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a Cold Email Outreach Specialist / Outbound Lead Generation Representative to generate qualified pipeline through targeted, data-driven outbound email campaigns.

This is a hands-on role with ownership of the full cold email workflow — from prospect research and list building to campaign setup, copywriting, deliverability, optimization, reply management, and lead qualification.

This is not a passive list-sending role. You should understand how targeting, messaging, domain reputation, inbox health, and deliverability work together to drive outbound performance.

What You’ll Own

Prospect Research & List Building

• Build highly targeted B2B prospect lists using:
• Apollo
• ZoomInfo
• LinkedIn Sales Navigator
• Crunchbase
• Segment prospects by ICP, industry, role, company size, and geography
• Research prospects and companies to identify personalization opportunities
• Validate and clean lead data using tools such as NeverBounce, ZeroBounce, or Clearout
• Maintain accurate and organized prospect databases

Cold Email Campaign Execution

• Write compelling cold email copy, subject lines, and CTAs
• Build and launch multi-step outbound sequences across 4–8 touchpoints
• Personalize messaging using prospect, company, and industry insights
• Manage campaign setup, scheduling, and sending workflows
• Monitor campaigns daily and identify opportunities for improvement
• Maintain consistent outbound campaign volume without sacrificing quality

Deliverability & Inbox Health

• Manage domain and inbox warmup using platforms such as:
• Instantly
• Smartlead
• Lemlist
• Mailwarm
• Monitor sender reputation, bounce rates, spam signals, and inbox health
• Manage inbox and sending-account rotation
• Identify deliverability problems before they significantly impact campaign performance
• Troubleshoot common sending and inbox-placement issues
• Understand the fundamentals of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC

Campaign Optimization & A/B Testing

• A/B test:
• Subject lines
• Email copy
• CTAs
• Personalization
• Send times
• Track campaign performance including:
• Open rates
• Reply rates
• Positive reply rates
• Bounce rates
• Qualified conversations
• Identify underperforming campaigns and diagnose potential causes
• Continuously improve targeting, messaging, and campaign structure based on data
• Maintain organized reporting dashboards and campaign documentation

Lead Qualification & CRM Management

• Monitor campaign replies and categorize responses accurately
• Identify interested and qualified prospects
• Route qualified opportunities to SDRs, Account Executives, or sales leadership
• Provide clear notes and context during lead handoffs
• Maintain accurate CRM records using:
• HubSpot
• Salesforce
• Zoho
• Similar CRM platforms
• Ensure outreach and engagement data remains clean and up to date

Compliance & Outreach Best Practices

• Follow applicable outbound email requirements, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA
• Maintain suppression and opt-out lists
• Ensure unsubscribe requests are handled correctly
• Follow responsible sending practices designed to protect domain and sender reputation

Must-Have Experience & Skills

• 1–2+ years of experience in cold email outreach, outbound lead generation, SDR, or outbound marketing
• Hands-on experience managing cold email campaigns
• Experience with platforms such as:
• Apollo
• Instantly
• Smartlead
• Lemlist
• Woodpecker
• Strong cold email copywriting skills
• Experience building prospect lists and segmenting audiences
• Understanding of cold email deliverability fundamentals
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Excellent written English communication
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently during U.S. client business hours

Preferred Experience

• Experience managing inbox health and deliverability at scale
• Familiarity with DNS, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
• Experience generating outbound pipeline for:
• B2B SaaS
• Agencies
• Professional services
• High-ticket service businesses
• Experience working alongside SDRs and Account Executives
• Familiarity with CRM and outbound automation workflows
• Experience troubleshooting low reply rates, high bounce rates, or deliverability issues

What a Typical Day Looks Like

You may start your day reviewing campaign performance, bounce rates, reply rates, and inbox health before checking replies and routing qualified prospects to sales.

From there, you’ll research new target accounts, build and clean prospect lists, write personalized sequences, launch campaigns, and run A/B tests.

Throughout the day, you’ll monitor deliverability, optimize underperforming campaigns, update CRM records, and ensure outbound systems remain organized and healthy.

In short: you own cold email execution from prospect data to qualified opportunity.
