This is a fully remote Telehealth role, enabling counselors to reach clients in diverse locations throughout Buffalo, New York, and beyond. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments using standardized tools to identify clients' unique needs and any co-occurring disorders affecting their recovery.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices that address addiction and co-occurring mental health issues.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that tackle a range of concerns, including addiction, trauma, anxiety, and depression.

• Regularly monitor, evaluate, and document clients' progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and substance use counselors, to provide a seamless continuum of care.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health and addiction recovery concepts, equipping them with tools and strategies for success.

• Maintain detailed and confidential client records in compliance with all legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adults facing challenges associated with substance use disorders and accompanying mental health conditions. Our client population is diverse, requiring a nuanced understanding of various cultural backgrounds and personal experiences. Your role will be instrumental in helping clients develop coping strategies, enhance their resilience, and work toward sustainable recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification to practice in New York.

• A minimum of 3 years of recent clinical experience providing mental health support, preferably in a rehabilitation or counseling setting.
