Executive Steward Job Description Hilton Austin is looking for an experienced Executive Steward to lead stewardship operations in our downtown Austin hotel. Responsibilities Oversee inventory control: coordinate, distribute, store and maintain essential items—china, glassware, linen, and silver—ensuring accuracy and availability. Ensure proper maintenance of food‑service equipment, overseeing security, maintenance, and optimal functionality. Develop and enforce sanitation standards, implementing compliance procedures to maintain hygiene and safety regulations. Monitor department expenses, implementing cost‑saving strategies that improve profitability while preserving quality. Supervise, coach, and mentor stewarding staff; conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development, and recognize achievements. Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations. Qualifications Must possess progressive experience leading stewarding teams in a union environment and strong leadership, organizational, and compliance skills.
