Job Description
TITLE: RN - CARDIAC CATH LAB

SCHEDULE:
Shift: 4x10 Variable Shifts

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

REQUIREMENTS:
- Active New York license required
- 1+ year of experience required
- BLS, ACLS certification required (AHA)
- EPIC experience required

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide nursing care in the cardiac catheterization lab for adult and geriatric patients.
- Monitor and assess patients undergoing cardiac procedures, including STEMI, PTCA, and diagnostic catheterizations.
- Administer medications and manage common drips such as verapamil, nitro, and cardizem.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assist with advanced cardiac interventions, including the use of balloon pumps and closure devices.
- Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES:
- May require floating to Electrophysiology Lab and Pod D recovery as needed.
