【US】Business Development Lead (MJ000045)

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Lead to lead our growth initiatives across SMBs and eCommerce marketplaces in the US. This role will identify new Ideal Client Profiles, strategize product market fit, develop local partnerships and drive new client acquisition. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of pain points of eCommerce and SMBs and have a strong mentality of zero-to-one for a new market expansion. Key Responsibilities Identify new client segments (e.g. verticals within SMB space) by understanding their pain points, desired payments solutions, and the unique value proposition of the solution. Partner with Product team to identify product-market fit by conducting first-hand customer research and gathering insights. Develop relationship with vertical eCommerce marketplace partners to drive US merchant onboarding opportunities. Develop and execute partnership strategies that align with overall business and sales objectives. Support sales enablement efforts (e.g. preparing sales library, RFI and RFPs) and negotiating agreements. Establish key success metrics for business development and partnerships e.g. no. of prospects interviewed, no. of clients onboarded. Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred). 6+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or strategic alliances within FinTech or payments sector. Deep understanding of SMBs, eCommerce sellers, or marketplaces in the US. Strong network across these segments is highly desirable. Demonstrated track record of sourcing, negotiating, and scaling partnerships. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and work cross-functionally with global and diverse teams.
