Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, identifying intensity, frequency, and duration to inform treatment strategies. Develop individualized treatment plans in partnership with clients, aligning their goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs accordingly. Implement evidence-based clinical interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients navigate their challenges effectively. Educate clients and their families about mood disorders and treatment options, fostering understanding and encouraging self-care practices. Monitor and track client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary and collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care. Stay updated with the latest research in mood disorders and therapeutic techniques to continually enhance treatment delivery. Maintain accurate and confidential client records, complying with all legal and ethical standards, and actively participate in team meetings and professional development activities. Advocate for mental health awareness to reduce stigma and ensure that clients' unique needs are met. Patient Population / Client Focus This role primarily focuses on individuals and families experiencing significant life transitions, particularly in the context of divorce and relationship issues. The therapist will be committed to offering empathetic support and therapeutic interventions to help clients navigate these challenging times, fostering resilience and healthier communication patterns. Qualifications A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required. A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trusted therapeutic relationships with clients. Demonstrated empathy and a nonjudgmental approach to understand clients' experiences and struggles. Strong organizational skills and time-management capabilities to manage parallel caseloads and administrative responsibilities effectively. Preferred Experience Experience in delivering various therapeutic modalities including structural, strategic, and systems therapy is highly desirable. Training or specialization in divorce and relationship counseling will be an advantage in meeting the needs of our diverse clientele. Compensation and Benefits Annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
