Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Overview A Consulting Accounts Payable Specialist will manage a high volume of invoices, maintain accurate records, and ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies. The role is essential to the financial operations of a growing logistics company. Responsibilities Process and manage a high volume of invoices with accuracy. Collaborate with the finance team to perform monthly and quarterly audits. Apply v-look up and Pivot Tables in Microsoft Excel to analyze and present data. Perform vendor set-ups and maintain vendor files. Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure payments are accounted for and properly posted. Verify and post account transactions using debits and credits. Prepare and adjust journal entries. Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation and making corrections. Ensure compliance with company policies, rules, and regulations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or as an Accounting Clerk. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including v-look up and Pivot Tables. Strong experience with coding invoices and vendor set-up. Extensive knowledge of debits and credits, reconciliation, and journal entries. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
