JR Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Melrose Park, IL 60160Pay Rate: $24.00/hrShift: 2ndPosition: JR Maintenance TechnicianShift: Monday - Friday 2pm - 10:30pm M - F Plus OTLocation: Elk Grove VillageEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Services and maintains all machinery and equipment (punch presses, press brakes, lasers, plasmas, tube benders, HVAC, etc.)Learns to operate and break down all machineryResearches, orders and inventories all parts and tooling necessary for machineryParticipates in preventative maintenance and repairs of machines in all of the facilitiesDesigns, builds and installs special projectsGathers information on various subjects to find a more affordable and/or efficient way to do things with machines or areasTracks maintenance related items in FIIX softwarePerforms other job related tasks as assignedJob Requirements:Ability to drive between 5 local manufacturing plants (located in Melrose Park and Elk Grove Village). Must have acceptable driving record.Ability to read tape measure and convert fractions to decimal measurementsAbility to read and use measuring equipment, including micrometers and calipersAbility to operate various tools, machinery and equipmentMust be detail-orientedMust be motivated and team-orientedAbility to read and follow blueprintsOff-hours work may be required for preventative and other maintenance related work (nights and weekends)Education/Training/Experience:High School degree or equivalentProven experience in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferredPrevious experience working in a manufacturing facility is highly desirableExperience with electrical, hydraulics, pneumatic and mechanical a definite plusHVAC and/or electrical experience preferredFamiliarity with HVAC/R systems, high voltage equipment, and general mechanical systems is essentialStrong customer service skills to effectively communicate with team members and managementAbility to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
