RN - Acute Care Surgery Unit
Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Surgery Unit. This part-time role offers 48 hours biweekly during day shifts, focusing on delivering patient and family-centered nursing care that upholds professional standards and best practices. The position emphasizes relationship-based care, guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, state nursing regulations, and evidence-based nursing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term goals.
- Apply clinical expertise to assign patient care based on acuity and technical needs.
- Foster excellent relationships with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
- Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment, adhering to safety protocols, HIPAA, and national standards.
- Engage in continuous professional development, including certifications and leadership opportunities.
- Collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient experiences and outcomes.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent experience with at least five years in acute care.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in advanced degree programs is supported.
- Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
Licensure:
