Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) billing experience

Business Office Assistant / Medical Biller

Schedule:

Full-Time, Monday–Friday

Location:

Los Gatos, CA

Pay:

$25.00–$35.00 + HR (DOE)

Essential Responsibilities Process and manage

Medi-Cal

for a Skilled Nursing Facility.

Assist with accounts receivable, payment posting, collections, and claim follow-up.

Maintain resident trust accounts and reconcile daily financial transactions.

Ensure accurate billing documentation and compliance with Medi-Cal facility policies.

Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist residents and family members with billing inquiries.

Maintain resident financial records, census reports, and business office documentation.

Order office supplies, process incoming and outgoing mail, and provide administrative support to the Business Office Manager.

Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement.

Required Minimum of 1 year of Medical Billing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).

Working knowledge of

Medi-Cal and HMO

Experience with accounts receivable and collections.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

Experience using billing software and electronic medical records, preferably

PointClickCare

.

Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

Professional communication and customer service skills.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience working in long-term care or post-acute healthcare settings.
