Work Environment

Your work setting will be an outpatient clinic focused on orthopedic rehabilitation, allowing you to engage directly with patients in a collaborative and supportive environment. Operating hours are Monday through Friday, with flexible shift options of either 7 am - 3:30 pm or 8 am - 4 pm. This schedule supports work-life balance while enabling our team to provide optimal care throughout the weekdays.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients, identifying their needs, and creating individualized treatment plans in collaboration with referring physicians.
• Implementing diverse therapeutic interventions, including manual therapies, exercise prescriptions, and modalities, both within the clinic and during home visits, according to established care plans.
• Providing education and resources to patients and caregivers to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Maintaining exceptional customer service standards that enhance the patient experience and contribute to clinic efficiency.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care strategies that utilize best practices and evidence-based guidelines.
• Tracking and documenting patient progress consistently to ensure accurate reporting for clinical and billing purposes.
• Participating in team meetings and continuing education initiatives to enhance both personal and team performance.
• Meeting set utilization goals and contributing to our clinic's overall objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with a diverse population of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our clinic caters to individuals of all ages, from children in pediatric orthopedic care to seniors requiring geriatric rehabilitation. By employing a patient-centered approach, you will assist each patient in achieving their unique rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with basic computer competencies.
• An ability to build and maintain patient relationships focused on functional goal attainment.
• Demonstrable involvement in community outreach and relationship-building.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in additional specialties such as pediatric, neurologic, or sports medicine will be highly advantageous to your application. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and experience in patient education will further empower your contributions as part of our dynamic team.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000, which is complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
