Work Environment

You will work directly in the homes of our patients across Newport News, Virginia, providing personalized care in a comfortable setting tailored to each individual's unique needs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions, focusing on their orthopedic needs in a home setting.
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that leverage a variety of therapeutic techniques including exercise regimens, manual therapy, and mobility enhancements.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment strategies based on their responses and overall recovery progress.
• Educate patients, their families, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, use of assistive devices, and self-management strategies for enhanced recovery.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in orthopedic physical therapy practices through continuous education and participation in professional networks.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals involved in patient care to ensure a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patient population you will serve includes a diverse group of individuals facing a spectrum of orthopedic issues, from pediatric to geriatric patients. Each case presents unique challenges and requires a personalized, evidence-based approach to therapy. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate preferred) from an accredited program.
• Valid State License in Physical Therapy required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and interdisciplinary team members.
• Proficient in using electronic documentation systems and basic computer software for patient tracking and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and adapt to varying patient needs and environments.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years' clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, specifically in orthopedic settings.
• Experience with home care physical therapy is highly desirable but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with assistive technologies and orthotic devices enhances service delivery and patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your professional and personal well-being.
