Work Environment\n

This position is tailored for a remote work setting, allowing you to engage with clients and collaborate with team members without the need for daily on-site presence. You will interact with patients primarily via telehealth platforms, enabling you to provide support in a comfortable and safe environment for both yourself and the clients. Our detox center utilizes modern technologies and platforms to ensure seamless communication and service delivery, ensuring you have the necessary tools to perform efficiently.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for patients and their families, identifying emotional, social, and environmental strengths and challenges that affect their mental health status and treatment responses.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans, using evidence-based interventions tailored to the unique needs of each patient.

• Actively collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians and nursing staff, to facilitate holistic patient care and involvement of patients and families in their treatment journey.

• Lead effective discharge planning efforts, arranging post-hospitalization support and community resources to ensure continuity of care and successful transitions for patients.
\n
• Provide education and counseling around coping strategies for adaptation to illness or life situations, guiding patients and families through understanding treatment and recovery processes.
\n
• Utilize crisis intervention techniques and therapeutic modalities, including individual, group, and family therapies, to address immediate patient needs and concerns.

• Engage in regular on-call rotations to support after-hour patient crisis situations, ensuring timely and professional response.
\n
• Facilitates involuntary examinations under the Baker Act when clinically necessary, demonstrating sound clinical judgment and ensuring patient safety.
\n
• Share knowledge and best practices by presenting at educational conferences and providing training to health care professionals within our organization.

• Commit to community service through education, outreach, and consultation, bolstering resources available to cancer survivors and those in need of mental health support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on clients in the detoxification process, many of whom may be facing co-occurring mental health disorders. You will be integral in supporting individuals grappling with substance use issues and associated psychosocial challenges. Your expertise will help foster resilience and recovery, enabling clients to navigate their treatment with a greater understanding of their personal circumstances and available resources.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• Current and active LCSW licensure in the state of Texas.
\n
• Proven experience in a clinical or healthcare setting, particularly within mental health and substance use domains.

• Strong assessment and intervention skills, with proficiency in various therapeutic modalities.

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working within detox centers or similar facilities is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of the Baker Act process and applicable legalities regarding involuntary examinations.

• Familiarity with utilizing telehealth technologies to deliver services.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
