Assistant Moving Center Manager

Compensation & Location Compensation Range: $18.50 to $26.40 Hourly Location: 2645 Brooklyn Queens Expy W, Woodside, New York 11377, United States of America Responsibilities Run daily operations of the center in the General Manager’s absence. Make moment‑to‑moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects. Manage and assign team members to ensure customers receive an excellent first impression and high‑quality service. Perform miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, and other equipment. Participate in ongoing continuous U‑Haul education through U‑Haul University. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Leadership experience in any form. Customer service experience. Ability to work a variety of shifts. Work Environment The work involves moderate risks or discomforts that require special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritating chemicals. Protective clothing or gear (masks, goggles, gloves, shields) may be required. Physical Demands Work requires some physical exertion, including long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. either assisted or unassisted.
