Marketing Intern, Chartwells Higher Ed / Elmhurst University

We are hiring immediately for a Marketing Intern position at 190 Prospect Ave Elmhurst, IL. Applications are accepted online only. Role: Assist the Marketing Manager with the dining program at Elmhurst University. Responsibilities include research, planning, promotions, event support, social media content creation, and website management. General Description Work closely with the Marketing Manager to implement and promote the dining program. This internship involves research to understand target market needs, planning & brainstorming, promotions & advertising across various platforms, and implementation. You will spearhead projects and can request assignments to expand your knowledge base. Requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills Customer service experience or knowledge Knowledge of social media platforms Good interpersonal skills Interest and knowledge in marketing Knowledge of graphic design tools is a plus Prior marketing-related experience is a plus Event planning/execution experience Job Responsibilities (May include any or all) Assist with planning, organizing and hosting events Assist with Dine on Campus Assist in social media calendar development and promotions Act as a brand representative Conduct marketing audits Conduct general administrative tasks Complete Marketing Boot Camp Survey students to collect marketing research Create marketing materials Manage signage across locations Create concepts, campaigns, and imagery for target markets Manage website and social networking profile content Attend meetings or events as required Create and publish engaging content on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok Support Boost mobile ordering app through events, campaigns, social media, and student outreach Learning Objectives Demonstrate understanding of diversity and inclusion in marketing Learn to create and implement a marketing plan Learn to conduct market research to grow audience or increase buy‑in Learn to use multiple platforms and strategies to promote a brand Compensation and Benefits Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour. This is a paid intern position; however, it is not eligible for paid time off (PTO) or medical, dental, vision, etc. benefits.
