Associate Director, Global FP&A (COE)

Associate Director leading a Global Financial Planning & Analysis Center of Excellence at AbbVie, overseeing a team of four and driving standardized finance processes, tools, and capabilities across commercial operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the FP&A COE team of four, setting priorities across four pillars and defining approval workflows
• Develop and drive adoption of standard procedures, reporting templates, and presentation standards globally
• Lead automation and AI initiatives using Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Wdesk
• Oversee COE deliverables including net sales reporting, SG&A, and reconciliations with quality assurance
• Conduct quarterly FP&A forums and strengthen finance capability through learning and development programs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 12+ years progressive FP&A, commercial finance, or financial controllership experience with team leadership
• Strong financial planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting skills
• Proven ability to standardize finance processes across business units or regions
• Experience delivering measurable process improvement or automation results
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage competing priorities
• MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred
