Ryerson offers a dynamic, quality-focused, environment, ideal for advancing your career and making your mark in the metals industry.As an Order Filler at Ryerson, you are responsible for filling orders as they come in through the queue and maintain warehouse workflow.Roles and responsibilities include:Load and unload the trucksOperate lift truck, side loader, and overhead craneUse SAP operating system to place, track, and fulfill customer ordersPackage and prepare material for shipmentFinal packaging of material per customer specificationWorking in a safe manner as outlined during training and using prescribed safety equipment, including PPEAll other duties as assignedRequirements:Successfully pass a skills-based assessment - evaluates your reading, math, inspections & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills1-3 years of experience in manufacturingPrevious overhead crane or forklift crane experience preferredBasic math and reading skillsBasic computer skills and/or comfort using a computerPhysical ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, mobility, and lifting requirementsSuccessful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program as part of their onboarding.Salary: This position is a Union position. Per Union contract this position pays $30.36.
