Kitchen Manager: Position Summary As a Kitchen Manager you will report to the General Manager. You will be responsible for effectively managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen. As the Kitchen Manager you will be responsible for maintaining a customer oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement and high performance. Essential Job Functions Develop and maintain an effective internal and external communication system Organize and Chair Kitchen Meetings Act as Liaison to outside guest and agents Maintain inventory control Maintain cost control Oversee recruitment and staffing Conduct Employee Orientations and Development Trainings Develop and maintain an Employee Assessment System Develop and maintain all policies and procedures Develop and maintain a Maintenance Control System Develop and maintain an effective Health and Safety System Ensure compliance with Federal, State and County regulations Marginal Job Functions Menu Development Required to cook on line when needed Manage all security issues Oversee all purchasing Education High School Diploma or GED Experience 1 - 3 years experience preferred Skills and Abilities Ability to multi-task Knowledge of all products Ability to defuse bad situations Effective Event and Project Planning Skills Ability to sell all products Scope of Responsibility Abide by all State and Federal Laws and regulations pertaining to alcohol, tobacco and Health Develop a superior workforce Scope of Financial Responsibilities Interpersonal Communication Good Communication Skills Knowledge of repeat patrons/vendors names Impact on Results Confidential and Sensitive Information Business issues are only to be discussed with the Manager and/or Owner Physical Requirements Balancing Carrying Crouching Grasping Hearing Kneeling Lifting Pulling Seeing (Close/Far/Color/Depth) Standing Stooping Talking Walking Exposures Airborne Particles Caustic Chemicals Electric Current Moving Parts Muscular Strain Noise Odors Temperature
