Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee patient-centered physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, restoring muscle function, and maintaining optimal performance levels.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations using diagnostic tests to assess patients' functional capabilities and identify specific rehabilitation needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans per physician prescriptions, adjusting as necessary based on ongoing assessments and patient feedback.
• Administer manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and physical agents, while instructing patients on exercises and functional activities to promote independence.
• Evaluate and provide recommendations regarding the fitting of prosthetic and orthotic devices, communicating effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure high standards of care are met for each patient.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to set priorities and align on comprehensive treatment strategies for complex cases.
• Actively engage with patients and their families, providing education on physical therapy devices, progress, and care plans.
• Stay accessible during treatments to Physical Therapy Assistants for consultative support and ensure adherence to established care plans.

The Physical Therapist will work with a varied patient demographic, including individuals recovering from surgery, those managing chronic conditions, and older adults seeking to maintain or improve their mobility and functional independence. Our center emphasizes personalized care that prioritizes each patient's unique needs and goals to drive successful rehabilitation outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A current and valid PT license in Florida, actively maintaining good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• A minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting or relevant experience.
• Strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Commitment to clinical excellence and passion for delivering quality patient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independent decision-making skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience within a fast-paced outpatient clinic, dealing with a broad variety of physical therapy cases.
• Familiarity with current rehabilitation technologies and treatment methodologies.
• Proficiency in documentation procedures and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Prior experience supervising physical therapy assistants is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
