As a Solutions Engineer, you will help qualify and close opportunities with customers and partners and provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, and supporting technical evaluationsFor this role we are targeting individuals living on the West Coast, ideally in the Pacific Time Zone.You Will:Work alongside the sales team to introduce Redpanda to our potential customersLead product and solution briefings, build proof-of-concepts (POC), run live product demos, and prototype Redpanda integrationsPartner with Redpanda product management, engineering and support teams to solve customer challenges and improve customer experienceIdentify and address customers' key technical objections and develop the strategies to address those blockers to adoptionYou Have:3-8+ years of prior experience leading presentations, collecting requirements, developing solution architectures, and teaching prospective users or project teams how to use software similar to RedpandaComfortable developing/prototyping solutions in many different languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, and Javascript)Passion for working on complex technical problems and have a strong understanding of modern infrastructure and streaming technologies (Kafka ecosystem preferred) Strong ability to build relationships with our partners, customers, and open-source usersExperience demonstrating technical concepts, including presenting and whiteboardingCollaborative spirit and enjoy making sure each team gets customer feedback to provide great customer experienceFlexibility to travel to meet customers, attend events or conferences or wherever the work takes you Comfortable with Linux and KubernetesProficient with one or more of the following cloud providers: AWS, GCP and AzureU.S. base salary range for this role is $134,500 - $198,000, not including bonus and/or commission. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
