Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients in MICU, including ongoing assessment and monitoring of critical conditions
- Manage ventilator support and IV drip therapies, adjusting as ordered and in collaboration with the care team
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor for adverse effects, and respond to changes in patient status
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record; ensure accurate handoffs during shift changes
- Respond to emergencies, participate in rapid response and codes, and uphold infection control and safety protocols

Requirements
- 2+ years of MICU/ICU experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Proficiency with ventilator management and IV drips
- Ability to work in a fast-paced MICU environment
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Willingness to travel and commit to a 16-week assignment in the Atlanta area
