Surgical Scrub Tech

As a Surgical Scrub Tech, you will be an essential part of the surgical team, providing assistance to surgeons, nurses, and other medical professionals during surgical procedures. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that the operating room is sterile and ready for surgery. To be successful in this role, you should be detail-oriented, organized, and have excellent communication skills. You should be able to remain calm under pressure and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare the operating room for surgery, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring that all necessary supplies are available. Assist the surgical team by handing instruments and other items to the surgeon and nurses during the procedure. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and be ready to provide assistance as needed. Maintain a sterile environment throughout the surgery to prevent infection. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a surgical technician training program is preferred but willing to train the right candidate. Knowledge of surgical procedures and medical terminology. Ability to work flexible hours. Ability to work well in a team environment. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy equipment.
